About us
Since its foundation in 2013, EcoTransFaire is a company specialised in carrying out innovative territorial projects for virtuous local and regional development.
Our team, based in Luxembourg, at the heart of the Belval blast furnace site, is developing expertise in the areas of sustainable development, energy transition and the social, solidarity and circular economy.
Our partners and clients – cities, public authorities, companies, research centres… – wish to provide solutions to societal, economic and environmental challenges. We respond to their needs by supporting them in their development and change of scale.
We promote the collective interest by creating and strengthening local resilient ecosystems, supporting regional and European public policies and supporting cities in their transition.
Since the beginning of 2020, we have been recognised as a private sector research organisation by the Luxembourg Ministry of the Economy.
Eco
A team on a human scale, built around a spirit of solidarity that we value through relationships based on trust, strong professionalism and a capacity for openness and adaptation. We are always ready to listen to our partners’ and customers’ needs and to meet them as closely as possible.
We work for a collective intelligence, in which the players recognise and acquire skills on the basis of proximity, exemplarity and reciprocity in order to act for local, sustainable economic development and the well-being of all.
Trans
We have an approach:
- Transversal: social, économic, écological… with a strong expertise.
- Circular: creation of local, sustainable and autonomic ecosystems.
- Positive: projects with strong local impacts.
- Cross-border: knowledge of networks, functioning, cooperation…
Keeping this practical and strategic approach is our long-term aspiration!
Faire
Our team has recognised expertise in the identification and analysis of needs by being anchored to the territory and being very close to it.
From territorial diagnostics to quantitative and qualitative surveys, we advise and provide recommendations to help actors move towards virtuous actions.
Innovation adapted to territories and actors with the design of services, projects, tools and methodologies is our know-how!

EcoTransFaire is also committed to respecting and enforcing the 17 sustainable development goals set by the member states of the United Nations in 2015, in its projects and in the daily life of its team.
We offer our expertise in the Economic and Social Committee of the Greater Region; as well as in the “Agriculture and Forestry”, “Environment” and “Energy” Working Groups (WG) of the Greater Region Summit.
We have chosen a recent and little-used status: the Societal Impact Society (SIS). This legal status is in line with our commitments because it meets the principles of the social and solidarity economy, shared governance and transparency.
As a member of ULESS with a Societal Impact Company status, we have obtained the label “Actor of the Social and Solidarity Economy (A.E.S.S.)”.
We are an ‘Accredited Consultant’ on the Fit 4 Sustainability programme which helps companies assess and reduce their environmental impact in order to reduce costs, improve their reputation, competitiveness and win new customers who value a sustainable approach.
